The outer surface of the Powerbone Barrier Membrane, consists of a compressed (non porous) poly (lactic acid) (PLA) layer which is placed next to the soft tissue to exclude epithelial and fibroblast cells from the site. The inner surface of the Powerbone Barrier Membrane faces the bony surface and consists of porous poly (lactic acid) (PLA) microfibers which induce mesenchymal stem cell retention proliferation and differentiation. The three-layered barrier membrane is designed for the healthy development of bone and periodontal support tissue.
